Counsel to offer help

Mindful Margaret River is the second community group to win support from the Shire of Augusta-Margaret River’s $2 million care fund.

Former Margaret River-Busselton Tourism Association chief executive Pip Close, pictured, will be engaged by the community wellbeing alliance to work as a business and jobs counsellor.

MMR received almost $42,000 from the ratepayer fund for costs and a contract salary for Ms Close, who recently did a stint back with the MRBTA in a special projects role, which has since ended.

MMR chairman Stuart Hicks said Ms Close would help individuals and operators with “practical support, guidance and advice to assist them with business relief, mental health support, business communications coaching, relationship building and preparation for recovery”
