Youth Board Member
Tully has lived across various parts of Western Australia, gaining the opportunity to experience diverse communities before settling in Margaret River in late 2017. She completed her high school education there and, after graduating with an ATAR and additional certificates last year, she immediately stepped into a Community Development Traineeship with the Shire of Augusta Margaret River, driven by her passion for youth engagement.
Tully’s journey into community work began through coaching youth, where she discovered a deep interest in supporting and empowering young people. Through her traineeship, she has developed valuable skills in addressing social issues, advocating for youth mental health, and creating meaningful opportunities for local young people to connect and thrive.
As part of her traineeship, Tully now runs multiple youth groups that provide a safe and supportive space for young people to connect, express themselves, and develop new skills. These groups focus on everything from leadership and creative expression to mental health wellbeing and community engagement, also offering youth convenient access to mental health support.
Tully is passionate about ensuring young people have a voice and access to opportunities that help them thrive. Through her work, she advocates for youth-led initiatives, fosters inclusive spaces, and helps shape a stronger, more connected community.
