As part of 20talk’s mission to create a more mentally supported community – they are offering Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) Training Courses FREE to the southwest community.
The standard cost for this course is anywhere from $250pp – $600pp.
MHFA Training is the nationally accredited mental health equivalent of physical first aids DRSABCD. 20talk believes that this knowledge is crucial to establishing a more mentally supported community and in doing so, equipping individuals with valuable life skills on how to notice, cope and understand mental health illnesses.
The 2-day course will run over two days from 9am – 3:30pm approx. There will be lots of short 5-minute breaks, 20-minutes for morning tea and an hour for lunch. Over the two days we will be covering:

We will be learning about the signs, symptoms, and interventions of each along with how to implement a Mental Health First Aid Action Plan. There will be some role-play and other exercises throughout the training to keep it interesting.
