Learn more about the #chatsafe guidelines developed by Orygen to support young people to communicate safely about suicide online.
An online workshop hosted by SJOG Social Outreach and facilitated by Orygen.
The link to online workshop will be emailed those who register closer to the date.
The #chatsafe guidelines have been developed by Orygen in partnership with young people to provide support to those who might be responding to suicide-related content posted by others or for those who might want to share their own feelings and experiences with suicidal thoughts, feelings or behaviours.
The #chatsafe guidelines may also provide practical assistance to parents, educators, and those who provide support to young people engaging in online activities.
The topics of suicide and self-harm will appear in many facets of a young person’s life and it can be difficult for parents to approach these topics. #chatsafe for parents and carers is designed to guide parents and carers when they’re having conversations about suicide with the young people in their lives.
