About our presenters
Tara Sofair, BHlthSc Nutrition and Dietetics (APD)
Tara has 7+ years experience as a Dietitian and runs her own private practice in Western Australia. She has a special interest in disordered eating as well as the relationship between diet and mental illness.
Her passion is the prevention of eating disorders and providing evidence-based advice to help clients to navigate the overwhelming amount of nutrition information available and to help separate fact from fiction.
She is also passionate about the non-diet approach and helping her clients to reconnect with their inner hunger and fullness cues in order to find sustainable and healthy ways to look after their bodies.
Nina James, RN and Intuitive Eating Counsellor
Nina is a Registered Nurse currently employed at Busselton Health Campus. She has a keen interest in eating disorder prevention and helping people recover from disordered eating and body image issues.
She is a member of the Butterfly Collective, a network of people with lived experience of eating disorders, and is also one of the Team Leaders for the Butterfly Body Bright program at Margaret River Independent School.
Her goal is to reduce body and weight stigma at an organisational level (within schools, hospitals, workplaces) allowing people to enjoy their full potential and health regardless of the size of their body.
